This Shipping Policy applies to purchases you make on the Oriental Trading Company website, mobile site, or mobile app (collectively, the “Site”). Please review this Shipping Policy carefully before placing an order on the Site.

1. Shipping Methods and Speeds

Oriental Trading Company offers a range of domestic and international shipping options to get your items delivered quickly and reliably to your doorstep. Shipping methods and speeds may vary depending on the items in your order.

Standard Shipping (4-7 business days)

Standard Shipping is our default shipping method on most items. With Standard Shipping, expect to receive your order within 4-7 business days after it ships. This timeframe represents the transit time once your order leaves our fulfillment center, and does not include order processing time.

Standard Shipping is free on most orders over $49 shipped within the contiguous U.S. Exclusions apply; see Section 2 for details.

Expedited Shipping (2-3 business days)

For faster delivery, Expedited Shipping delivers your order within 2-3 business days after it ships. Expedited Shipping costs $8.99 for orders under $49 or $4.99 for orders over $49 shipped to the contiguous U.S.

Rush Shipping (1-2 business days)

Select Rush Shipping at checkout for delivery within 1-2 business days after your order ships. Rush Shipping costs $15.99 for orders under $49 or $10.99 for orders over $49 shipped to the contiguous U.S.

Rush Shipping is only available on in-stock items. Industries, businesses, schools, and organizations do not qualify for Rush Shipping.

Same Day Shipping

On in-stock products, place your order by 2 pm Central Time M-F and select Same Day Shipping to get your order shipped the same day it’s placed, so you’ll receive it as soon as the next business day.

Same Day Shipping is available for $15.99 on orders shipped to the contiguous U.S. Industries, businesses, schools, and organizations do not qualify for Same Day Shipping.

Signature Required

Signature Required Delivery ensures someone is present to receive and sign for the package. This optional service is available for $1.99 per shipment for orders shipped to the contiguous U.S.

Extended Delivery Range

For residential customers in remote locations or regions that require additional transit time, we may adjust the estimated delivery date range on your order confirmation to account for additional delivery time.

Expedited Delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, & Canada

We offer expedited 2-7 day shipping timeframes and rates for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Canada. Delivery days to these locations start from the point of departure, not order confirmation. Exclusions may apply.

Military Addresses (APO/FPO/DPO)

Orders being shipped to military addresses are shipped via USPS and delivered to APO/FPO/DPO addresses worldwide. Delivery times depend on location.

International Shipping

We ship select products to over 100 countries worldwide. Delivery times vary by location. Some items may not be available for international shipping. Customs fees, taxes and duties may apply for international orders; these are the responsibility of the customer.

2. Free Shipping Policy

Free Standard Shipping is available on qualifying orders of $49 or more shipped to a single U.S. address in the contiguous 48 states. The qualifying order minimum excludes gift cards and sales tax.

Items that do not qualify for free shipping include oversized items (see Section 3), personalized products, gift baskets, and industry/business orders. Free shipping cannot be combined with any other promotions or volume pricing except where expressly stated. Valid while supplies last; other restrictions and exclusions may apply.

On orders with both qualifying and non-qualifying items, we will ship the qualifying items via Standard Shipping and the non-qualifying items via the fastest available method, and we will charge you the difference in cost between Standard and expedited shipping rates.

3. Oversized Items

Items that exceed certain size restrictions are considered Oversized. Oversized Items will be clearly marked on the product page and at checkout. An additional freight charge applies for oversized items as they require special handling and shipping:

Contiguous U.S.

Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico

Oversized items generally ship via FedEx Ground and usually take 5-10 business days in transit. Extended delivery times apply for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada and international shipments.

Expedited shipping options are not available on oversized items. Oversized items may arrive in multiple shipments and are not eligible for free shipping offers. Additional oversized product restrictions and exclusions may apply.

4. Expected Processing & Transit Times

Order Processing Time

Order processing time is 1-2 business days from order placement, plus the time for your payment authorization to complete. Orders placed Thursday after 11 a.m. CT through Sunday will begin processing the next business day (Monday, unless a holiday). Processing time may vary during peak periods.

Transit Time

Transit time represents the shipping timeframe once your order leaves our fulfillment center. It does not include the 1-2 days of processing time.

We cannot guarantee dates or times of delivery. Shipping and delivery dates are estimates only based on average transit times, business days, and other conditions. We ship with trusted carriers (such as UPS and FedEx), but we are unable to monitor all service levels for these third parties. Oriental Trading Company is not liable for any shipping delays.

5. Tracking Your Order

When your order ships, we will send you an email with carrier tracking information which you may use to track your package’s transit progress. Please note tracking information will only appear when the order is in-transit. Orders that have not yet shipped will not be trackable online. You may also check Order Status on your account.

6. Payment Policy

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, and Oriental Trading Company gift cards or merchandise credits. All transactions are processed in U.S. dollars.

To protect against credit card fraud, we reserve the right to request additional information to verify customers’ identities prior to order fulfillment. If we are unable to successfully verify your identity, we reserve the right to cancel your order.

For your security, your billing address must match the address registered with the financial institution issuing your payment card. Orders may be delayed if the billing address does not match.

7. Sales Tax

We are required by state law to charge sales tax on taxable items based on the applicable state and local sales tax rates of the delivery address for your order.

If you are exempt from sales tax, you may submit a tax exemption certificate for your state. We will retain this on file for all future purchases. Please email a copy of your exemption certificate to taxexempt@tradingoriental.company.

Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your shipping address, which must correspond with your taxing authority’s location. Tax-exempt schools and 501c3 organizations should proceed as a registered business account to claim exempt status.

8. Customs & Duties for International Orders

Customs authorities in destination countries assess duties and taxes (“Import Fees”) on international shipments. These Import Fees are not included in your Oriental Trading Company order total at checkout. You are responsible for paying these Import Fees; Oriental Trading Company has no way to accurately calculate the Import Fees at checkout. please confirm with your country’s customs office to determine what Import Fees will apply to your shipment.

9. Damages, Returns, and Refunds

In the unlikely event your order arrives damaged, please contact us within five (5) days of delivery, provide photos detailing the damage, and we will file a claim and reship your order.

10. Carrier Liability

When you receive your order, if any item is visibly damaged at the time of delivery, please refuse delivery and the item will be returned to our fulfillment center. We will re-ship you a replacement item at no additional cost.

If package contents appear undamaged upon delivery but you discover concealed damage, contact our Customer Service team within 5 days of receiving your order so we may start a claim with the carrier. We will file a claim on your behalf and ship replacement items once we have received confirmation from the carrier.

Under carrier liability, the maximum liability for lost or damaged domestic packages is $100. For this reason we strongly encourage you to inspect your order promptly and contact us within 5 days about any issues.
