Returns

Returnable Items

Most non-personalized products may be returned within 90 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange (whichever you prefer). We’ll also reimburse return shipping costs on orders shipped to U.S. addresses.

Non-Returnable Items

The following types of merchandise are non-returnable:

Damaged, defective, and products that do not match their description are returnable at any time. Please contact Customer Service promptly so we can start a return.

How to Return an Item

To return an item, please take the following steps:

  1. Contact our Customer Service team to request a return authorization and return shipping label. You may reach us by:
  1. Repackage the return in secure outer packaging with the return shipping label attached. For optimal processing, enclose a copy of your packing slip or order confirmation email.
  2. Return the package using the pre-paid return shipping label. Drop off the package at any UPS location or schedule a free UPS pickup.

Upon receiving your return, we will process it within 2-3 business days and notify you by email. Approved refunds are generally issued back to the original form of payment within 3-5 additional business days.

Return Shipping Costs

For customers in the contiguous U.S. returning items that shipped from the U.S., we provide pre-paid return shipping labels, so returns are FREE. Make sure to use the issued return label for returns to qualify for reimbursement. We are unable to refund return shipping costs on packages sent back collect or via third party carrier.

For orders originally shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada, or internationally, customers are responsible for covering return shipping costs. Contact us and we can provide a cost estimate.

Refund Type

Refunds are typically issued in the original form of payment. For orders paid by PayPal, refunds will be issued back to your PayPal account. For orders paid by gift card or merchandise credit, refunds will be credited back as an Oriental Trading Company gift card or merchandise credit.

Refunds may take approximately 1 billing cycle from return processing date to appear on your account statement depending on your financial institution.

Exchanges

If you prefer to exchange an item for a different product rather than receive a refund, please contact Customer Service and we will be happy to assist you.

To exchange an item, please return the original item using the above return process. Once we receive and inspect the return, we will process an exchange for the replacement item(s). If the replacement product costs more, we will charge the difference to your original payment method.

Exchanges are available for standard in-stock merchandise only. Personalized, custom, or discontinued items cannot be exchanged.

Return Policy Details

Condition of Returns

Items must be in new unused condition, in original packaging, with all parts, accessories, instructions, etc. included. We cannot accept returns that are worn, damaged, or not in resalable condition.

Deadline for Returns

Most non-personalized items may be returned within 90 days of the delivery date. Exceptions are made for damaged, defective, or misshipped items – please contact us promptly in these cases.

Refund Details

Once your return is received and approved, your refund will be processed as follows:

Returns of Defective Items

If an item arrives damaged or with another defect, contact us right away so we can start a return. For defective merchandise, you may return the item at any time for a full refund or exchange. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Return of Personalized Items

Due to the customized nature of our personalized products, these items are non-returnable except if damaged or defective. However, if we made an error with personalization, please contact us right away so we can correct it at no additional cost.

Refused Packages/Return to Sender

If an order is returned to us as undeliverable by the shipping carrier (i.e. wrong address provided), we will issue a refund minus any original shipping fees and a 10% restocking fee. Contact us if you need to update your shipping address for redelivery.

Reserving Right to Refuse Returns

On occasion we may need to refuse a return not in compliance with this policy, such as: incorrectly packaged merchandise, items returned late without prior authorization, or prohibited products like hazardous materials. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not comply with this policy, refuse abusive returns or customers, and amend this policy at any time.

Receiving Damaged or Incorrect Items

Visible Damage Upon Delivery

If an order arrives with visible damage to the outer packaging, do not accept the package. Refuse delivery to have the package returned to our fulfillment center. We will re-ship replacements for damaged items at no additional cost once the damaged package is returned to us.

Concealed Damage

If package contents appear undamaged upon delivery but you discover concealed damage or missing items, contact our Customer Service team within 5 days of receiving your order so we may start a claim with the shipping carrier and ship replacements. We will require photos of damage for the claim.

Incorrect Items Received

If you receive incorrect or unordered items, contact our Customer Service team within 5 days of delivery. Please return the items to us using the provided return shipping label. Once received, we will send the correct replacement items right away.

Getting Replacements

In the case of damaged, defective or incorrect items, we will ship free replacement product(s) via 2-day shipping once we have received your notification and processed a return/claim as applicable. Contact us if you do not receive replacements within 5 business days.
